Working with the limitations and strengths within the community we found an unlikely development of the Covid 19 pandemic; the emerging independence for women to work, although under challenging circumstances. Menfolk previously unwilling to let their wives and daughters be gainfully employed, have had to reluctantly accept this new reality to balance the financial burden. This helps guarantee the women in the community commit their time to ensure a long-term income-generating program as an involved stakeholder.
